About Us

Located in Frederick County, Maryland, 

Slippery Slope Stables, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that serves people and animals in distress.  
 

Assistance from Slippery Slope Stables, Inc. (SSS) includes 

but is not limited to food, shelter, coordination of medical care, training/education, transportation, property repairs, 

and therapy animals.  

Slippery Slope Stables, Inc. coordinates rescue, rehabilitation, and foster care of animals, as well as facilitates placement of abandoned animals into permanent homes, oftentimes coordinating with other rescue and charitable organizations and individuals. Special animals are trained and utilized as ambassadors 

and for therapeutic services.

We have a passion to care for people with special needs as well as victims of trauma and abuse, often incorporating therapy animals. SSS services also include public education events, demos, and tours that promote natural care and training of animals. We strive to develop productive and understanding relationships between animals and humans.
